This exciting scholarship program was created to address the significant need for well-trained lymphedema therapists in the United States. At present, Germany has approximately one Certified Lymphedema Therapist (CLT) for every 1,300 residents while the United States has approximately one CLT for every 100,000 residents. The Norton School of Lymphatic Therapy and medi believe the pronounced lack of therapists in the US is due in part to low awareness of the specialty among existing health care professionals. We believe scholarships sponsored by dedicated industry leaders such as medi and the Norton School draw attention to the overwhelming need for more education in the field. It is our sincere belief this scholarship opportunity will allow talented and passionate health care professionals to pursue a rewarding career in lymphedema management.
