Introduction

If you’re a health care professional passionate about advancing your career and making an impact in the field of lymphatic therapy, this is your chance. The Norton School of Lymphatic Therapy, in collaboration with Lohmann & Rauscher (L&R), is proud to offer the L&R Certified Lymphedema Therapist Scholarship — a meaningful opportunity to help fund your journey toward becoming a Certified Lymphedema Therapist (CLT) through our comprehensive CDT certification course. With the pressing shortage of trained therapists in the U.S., this scholarship is more than financial support — it’s a gateway to a rewarding and underserved area of care.

Why This Scholarship Matters

The need for qualified lymphedema therapists has never been greater. In Germany, there’s approximately one Certified Lymphedema Therapist for every 1,300 residents; in contrast, the United States has roughly one CLT for every 100,000 residents.

That gap creates a tremendous opportunity for motivated professionals to step in, develop specialized skills, and deliver life-changing care. By lowering the financial barrier via this scholarship, Norton School and L&R aim to raise awareness of lymphedema therapy, attract talented clinicians, and grow a workforce ready to meet this critical need.
